Through the generous support of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, Sequoia Housing Partnership is pleased to introduce our Small Loan Program. This program is designed to provide interest free loans, up to $5,000, for home repair and improvement projects to low-income homeowners in Montgomery County. Applicants are eligible to participate in the Small Loan Program if they are homeowners in Montgomery County, Virginia, who have a household income that is at or below the very-low income limit as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (see HUD's Income Limits page).

Our goal is to provide a pathway to home ownership for displaced families that have resettled in our area. Once we have raised enough money to purchase a home, we will open an application process to select a family to work with. SHP will work with that family to find a home that meets their needs and will fund the purchase of that home. The family will pay back the cost of the home, on terms they can afford, without the need for a down payment or interest.
As the value of the home is paid back to SHP that money will go towards the purchase of the next home for the next family we are able to work with. We are currently fundraising toward this goal. In the meantime, we are using money we have raised to offer the Small Loan Program (see above).
Applications are not being accepted yet but we hope they will be soon! Check back in the future for the download link.
